Divine Story
Julie Anna Bishop, Interior Designer, Artist, Author, Empowerment Coach, Mother
As a Libra, I confess that I adore beauty- inner beauty, outer beauty, nature, relationships, interiors, fashion, arts, crafts, and jewelry to name a few. So when my brother, John Bishop, began a side business creating laser etched ornaments (Christmas is a holiday that is special for all 6 of my siblings) I took notice. I was fascinated by the process but wasn't sure I loved the clean graphics, for my vision, I desired a warmer feel. What if the designs were hand drawn?
Let me back up. You see, while being laid up for four months recovering from a tragic accident, I began to use my spare time to draw again. It has reopened parts of me that I had forgotten existed. So, I spoke to John and enrolled him into making some of my drawings wearable art. Being the big brother that he is, he is humoring me. Now his actual business is building sustainable cabinetry and heirloom quality furniture pieces for the home. But he likes to tinker with other ways of expressing his creativity too and I am so happy he is allowing me to play along.
Always a multi-passionate soul, I decided to begin a sustainable business that compliments my other work as an author and coach. It allows me a channel to funnel my creativity and express myself while creating work that is meant to inspire and celebrate life. Consciously creating a brand that seamlessly dovetails with all that I stand for is important to me. Ethically creating the pieces, giving each one special attention as they are drawn, transforming them into laser etchings and thoughtfully creating finishing details (if client desires) as well as making the earring wires one at at time is a form of meditation for me. It heals my soul and hope it brings positive joy to yours in the process.
I enjoy imbuing each piece with intention and love in the same manner I strive to give in my relationship to myself, my children, my animals and all the other beings I share the planet with. Using sacred geometry, elements that are the base of everything in existence, each item in this store is created and sent to individual buyers such as yourself in the most sustainable means possible for your health and well being - as well as our planet's.
