Inspiration: All my life the Great Blue Heron has made its presence known in the marshes where I grew up to the b meadow of my current home. Kayaking along the shore, I watched this graceful, yet shy hunter patiently wait for just the right moment to capture its meal. Its grace, poise, and persistence always yield abundance. 

Spiritual Meaning: In cultures around the world the Great Blue Heron symbolizes blessing from the creator, prosperity follows the visit of this magnificent bird. Other meanings attributed to the sighting of a blue heron include deep spiritual wisdom, doggedness, transformation, foresight, and self-trust.

In the Bible, the heron symbolizes Christ in his patience, courage, and perseverance. In folklore around the world, the heron is also a symbol of loyalty due to its monogamous nature, calm due to its patience while hunting,
